Hello, I’m Devesh Mishra, an Architect & Urban Designer driven to shape regenerative, locally rooted places that thrive both ecologically and socially. My work sits at the intersection of adaptive reuse, environmental design, and technological innovation, with a particular focus on circularity and eco-efficiency for resilient urban futures.
Highlights & experience
EU Young Energy Ambassador (2024) served for one year advocating for a just energy transition; I ideated and ran the session “Net Zero, Net Hype — Rethinking European Cities,” which received strong recognition from peers and stakeholders.
Current project: contributing to the renovation of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) — a rewarding role that’s deepening my understanding of EU policies, budgets, and bylaws while applying design thinking to complex institutional buildings.
Academic: My master’s thesis, Sustainable Regeneration of the Mayfield Depot in Manchester: An Adaptive Reuse Project for Circularity and Eco-effectiveness, was highly praised and underpins my approach to circular adaptive reuse.
My strengths
Adaptive reuse & urban regeneration
Eco-efficiency, circular economy strategies, and material reuse
Environmental & technological design integration
Stakeholder engagement and multidisciplinary collaboration
Policy-aware design for EU-funded and institutional projects
I’m always open to connecting with fellow designers, city-makers, policy practitioners, and organisations focused on resilient urban transformations. If you’re working on adaptive reuse, regenerative neighbourhoods, or circular projects, let’s connect.
