High School Stage

The stage design of the Bedekovchina high school was derived from the existing visual identity design, in which the red cube represented construction, the blue sphere represented healthcare, and the green pyramid represented agriculture.
By redesigning the visual identity, the existing stereometric design was reduced to planimetric shapes: a square, a circle, and a triangle, inscribed one inside the other in order to achieve a cleaner, more recognizable, and clearer appearance. That means also in greater harmony with the function of the high school institution.
The colors were basically retained, but not in the shapes themselves, which became white, but in vertical stripes. The relationships between the surfaces of each color resulted solely from mutual harmony with respect to the intensity of each individual color and do not represent the sizes of individual institutions. In order to make the symbolism clearer, the inscriptions of the institutions they represent were added to the stripes.
In this way, the technique of using stencils was also tested when painting the wall, which made the process of implementation in a very limited time challenging.
The new visual identity was then used as an integral part of the school's new logo on a poster intended for the Day of Celebration of the Bedekovchina Municipality.
In terms of construction, the existing cavity between the raised plateau and the stage backdrop was closed with plasterboard panels, which achieved a complete appearance of the stage backdrop, while hiding installations and highlighting parts of the supporting structure.
The realization of stage design was supported by the team of Bedekovchina high school civil constructin teachers and high school students that worked almost full workday long.
Construction of the stage was completed within three weeks and opened on Saint Barbara Day, 4th of December, 2022., the same Day of Celebration Bedekovchina Municipality hosting the Croatia president Zoran Milanovich.
