Lüleburgaz Intercity Bus Terminal

Transportation buildings serve as the gateway to a city, and as such, they should possess not only symbolic value but also be memorable and unique. Our objective is to design a functional and socially engaging transportation complex in Lüleburgaz, leveraging the potential of the land to establish its nature as a landmark.

Situated on the Edirne-Istanbul main road, between Murat Hüdavendigar St. and İstiklal St., where the old bus station is located, the land offers a strategic position for the new complex. Utilizing the existing entry and exit points from the old station, we have designed a distinct circulation route within the land. The building is strategically aligned along the east-west axis, allowing it to be prominently visible from the main road.

Intercity bus platforms are situated on the south side of the building, while regional bus platforms are positioned on the north side, creating a clear separation facilitated by the building itself.
The central concept of the interior design revolves around creating a unified space without separation between departure and arrival areas. Ticket sales offices and shops are strategically placed between waiting lounges, ensuring a seamless experience for passengers. This adaptable design allows for the transformation of the building in the future.

At the western point of the building, serving as the access point from the city, a canopy is designed to function as an effective public front space, featuring a distinctive sloped roof system. This space includes amenities such as a restaurant, café, and commercial spaces, catering not only to passengers but also to the broader public.

In conclusion, our design aims to integrate waiting areas seamlessly within public spaces, creating a landmark for Lüleburgaz that is not only functional but also socially engaging.
